Mitchell Hillis B.Sc(Kin), MPT
Mitch received his Bachelors in Kinesiology from the University of Saskatchewan in 2018. While at the U of S, Mitch played for the Huskies Football team, where he earned All-Canadian and Academic All-Canadian honours twice during his career. After completing his Kinesiology degree, Mitch moved to Scotland to pursue his Masters in Physical Therapy at Glasgow Caledonian University.
Mitch was born and raised in Saskatoon, where he grew up playing a variety of sports, including basketball, gymnastics, hockey, soccer, and football. His diverse athletic background sparked a passion for movement and a strong interest in human anatomy and performance.
Professionally, Mitch is interested in all things musculoskeletal. He uses manual therapy techniques and prescribed exercises to help achieve clients specific goals. Embracing a client-centered approach, Mitch is dedicated to supporting individuals on their journey to lead active and healthy lives.
Outside of work, Mitch loves spending time with friends and family, playing recreational sports, and exploring the world.

Tyrell Sawatzky
David Kobylak B.Sc(Kin), CSEP-CEP, CSCS
David is an Exercise Therapist who has been working in the field of rehabilitation for over 10 years. Before this, he worked as a personal trainer. David grew up on a farm near the small town of Sonningdale, where he spent his youth helping on the farm, playing volleyball, and teaching swimming lessons. Once in University, David fell out of shape. Wanting to regain his fitness and to help others build strength and recover from injuries, David was compelled towards and completed a degree in Kinesiology.
When he’s not at work, David loves to participate in all manner of activities. He mountain bikes, rock climbs, runs spartan races, and stays active outdoors. He also spends much of his time with his wife Pauline and their two kids.
David dreamed of working at Craven SPORT Services for many years, having once been a client himself. Craven’s approach to injury management compelled David to want to be part of the team. David works with both primary SGI and WCB cases, secondary cases, and group training whenever possible!

Mitch Gardiner NSCA CSCS, NCCP Certified Performance Coach (Athletics - Jumps), Chartered Professional Coach, NCCP Certified Coach Developer
For as long as he can remember, sport has been a cornerstone of Mitch’s life. Having grown up playing a variety of street sports after school, he eventually discovered a passion for track and field. He remains dedicated to the sport and has more than fifteen years of coaching experience. Mitch is thrilled to contribute to the talented and energetic team at Craven SPORT Services, where he shares a collective commitment to health and movement.
Outside of his professional life, Mitch has gone from having a childhood dog fear to being a dog lover. In the past 13 years, he and his wife have fostered over 15 dogs and have had 3 of their own. He currently looks forward to training his young dog for flyball or agility competitions. When he is not with his wife or pets, Mitch stays active through Olympic weightlifting, running, and disc golf, or spends his time reading, learning new things, and watching movies. Looking ahead, he plans to earn his advanced coaching diploma and achieve fluency in five languages!

Emily Leakos B.Sc(Kin), MSc(PT), CSEP-CPT
Emily joined our team after completing her Masters of Science in Physical Therapy at the University of Alberta in 2025 and her Bachelors in Kinesiology in 2022 from the University of Saskatchewan. She first became involved with Craven SPORT Services during her undergraduate years, when she was a Strength & Conditioning Coach with our team.
Emily grew up dancing and baton twirling in Saskatoon. She competed on the international stage in team, pair, and individual baton twirling on four separate occasions, ending in 2019. Emily contributed to the local dance and baton community through a decade-long coaching career and by volunteering at local competitions. She is eager to reconnect with the community and explore opportunities in both dance and baton.
Clinically, Emily is interested in all parts of rehabilitation, with a particular focus on chronic conditions/pain and orthopaedics. She takes a personalized approach to care, prioritizing getting to know her patients and collaborating with them to achieve their individual goals. Emily’s mission is to help you uncover your “WHY” and use that as a foundation for progress.

Jaden Gaja B.Sc(Kin), CSCS
Jaden was born and raised in Carrot River, Saskatchewan where she played competitive softball her whole life. She went on to attend the University of South Dakota on a NCAA Div. 1 scholarship for softball. Throughout high school and college, Jaden was able to come and train right here at Craven SPORT Services!
In December of 2023, Jaden received her Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology degree with minors in Sports Medicine, Psychology, and Interdisciplinary Sciences. She also graduated with Magna Cum Laude (Great Distinction)! In February of 2024, Jaden went on to obtain her CSCS certification.

Curtis Kulchar B.Sc(Kin), MPT
Curtis is a graduate from the University of Saskatchewan, having received his Bachelors of Science in Kinesiology in 2014, and Masters of Physical Therapy in 2016. He is committed to ongoing professional development, having pursued various specialized certifications, including McKenzie – Part A, Sport First Responder, R2P Management and Advanced Management of Post-Concussion Syndrome, Complete Concussion Management, Mulligan Upper Quarter, and others.
With a passion for sport physiotherapy (special interest in hockey), Curtis focuses on concussion management, and strength and conditioning training. He has a special interest in orthopaedic rehabilitation involving the shoulder, elbow, hand, back, hip, knee, and ankle.
Curtis also enjoys working with runners of all levels, from beginners to seasoned athletes. He works closely with runners who are injured, returning from injury, and on injury prevention. Angela Braun B.Sc (Kin), MPT, Functional Dry Needling
Angela received her Bachelors in Kinesiology and her Masters in Physical Therapy from the University of Saskatchewan. Since graduating, Angela has been certified in functional dry needling and concussion management. Angela has always had an interest in sport physiotherapy and spent her undergraduate degree volunteering with the Huskie student trainer program working primarily with women’s volleyball and football. Angela continued to gain experience in sport physiotherapy while completing her Masters in Physical Therapy through volunteer work with Saskatoon’s Hilltops football team and the Saskatoon Valkyries.
Angela has worn many hats at Craven SPORT Services, first working as a strength & conditioning coach following the completion of her Kinesiology degree, then continuing on as a physiotherapist after receiving her MPT. She is familiar with our integrative approach to client care! Jason Warick NCCP Performance Coach - Track & Field, Speed Skating
Jason has been coaching athletes of all ages, abilities and backgrounds for the past 25 years. He’s a certified NCCP Performance Coach in two sports – track and field and speed skating. Jason played competitive soccer, hockey and volleyball as a youth, and is the Saskatchewan record holder in the marathon (2 hours, 19 minutes). He’s represented Canada internationally and has trained or raced in more than 20 countries, from Germany to Kenya to Australia. He still enters the odd running or cross-country ski event, but he’s most proud to be one of the few people who can go for a run, bike or ski with both his kids, Angelina and Taras, and his parents, Randy and Judy.

Robert Bélanger Ace Certified Personal Trainer
Robert is one of our Strength and Conditioning Coaches and ACE Certified Personal Trainer who has been coaching since 2017. Driven by a passion for helping people feel stronger, healthier, and more confident, he believes great training goes beyond sets and reps, it’s about connection, education, and long-term impact.
Outside of coaching, Robert competes in obstacle course racing, boxes, and powerlifts, finding value in both high-intensity challenge and disciplined strength work. He also enjoys hiking and reading as ways to reset and continue learning. A meaningful highlight of Robert’s career includes helping launch a Special Olympics fitness group, creating an inclusive training environment for athletes of all abilities. Dean Visvanathan M.SC(S&C), B.Sc(Kin), CSEP-CEP
Dean Visvanathan is the Manager of Strength & Conditioning at Craven SPORT Services. Dean was born and raised in Saskatoon, where he attended high school at Marion Graham Collegiate and later completed his Bachelors of Science in Kinesiology at the University of Saskatchewan. After working for a few years, Dean decided to continue his education by pursuing a Masters of Science in Strength and Conditioning at St. Mary’s University, Twickenham, London, which he has successful completed.
You’ll catch Dean at the Craven SPORT Services Training Centre working with personal training clients, various teams, and getting a work out in so he can practice what he preaches! Dean loves being a part of the Craven SPORT Services team, as it gives him the opportunity to learn from a knowledgable staff and help educate others on the benefits of exercise and active living.

Stacey Woods Ph.D (Applied Health Sciences), CSCS
Stacey’s journey into exercise science began as a competitive figure skater and multi-sport athlete in hockey, gymnastics, swimming, softball and triathlon. Growing up immersed in sport taught her discipline, resilience, and the importance of effective resistance training. These experiences not only shaped her athletic identity but also fuelled her curiosity about how the body develops, adapts, and thrives with proper conditioning. That passion ultimately led her to pursue a Ph.D. in Health Biosciences, specializing in pediatric exercise science, and to earn her Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) designation. Stacey’s goal is to help her clients improve their wellbeing, health and performance through exercise. She hopes to pursue teaching and research in the future.
